Monotypes are one-of-a-kind prints (unique state). The term ‘monotype’ applies to prints that can’t be recreated or are without repeatable Matrix.

I have been experimenting with making stencils with Yupo paper (a synthetic material that is waterproof and durable for this application) using a cutting mat and a sharp blade to create shapes. I will trial using both the positive and negative parts of the stencils for my prints. I have also been looking for objects and materials that I can put through the press, something that is soft and can create organic movement in my prints.
